Taste of Italy

Take a culinary trip across Italy at Lachat Town Farm!  Students will experience the best Italian food, cuisine and gastronomy of various regions of Italy through hands-on cooking classes.

During the Taste of Italy workshop, our kitchen will be transformed into a real "playroom of taste."  Through creative play activities, students use their creativity and imagination to learn how to prepare and cook delicious Italian dishes.  Each week, your children will be guided by Vita, the original Italian Foodie, as she takes all she has learned from the expert hands of her family and passes these authentic Italian techniques and recipes on.  Your Young Chef will discover the basics of cooking and how to make dishes from different regions in Italy.  

WMS students can take Bus 1 after school directly to Lachat!  Please note that we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment for this class.  If your child is interested and has food restrictions of any kind, please feel free to email [email protected] to discuss whether this class will be appropriate and safe for your child.
