Lens on Nature at Lachat is a super fun and exciting photography adventure that inspires kids to see in new ways. Every week we explore a new genre or theme, covering technicalities of the camera and with a focus on each person’s unique viewpoint.
Using games and activities designed to challenge perspective, we build skills with camera, light and storytelling. The workshop culminates with a photo exhibit presented by the kids for friends and family. All images made during the workshop are available in an online gallery.
Learning the language of photography helps build creativity, confidence, connection and character. See for yourself!
What to bring: Participants are encouraged to bring their own camera, whether it's an SLR, point and shoot, or iPhone, but additional equipment will be available so that students can practice their new skills on different cameras.
