Big discoveries await our youngest scientists! In this hands-on class, children will create simple experiments, do creative activities, and explore nature through a scientific lens. This will encourage children to ask questions, make predictions, and discover how things work.
Topics may include environmental science relating to plants and soil, insects and habitats, and caring for our water and Earth. We’ll also explore the science of mixing, bubbling, dissolving, and changing colors through playful experiments designed for curious young minds.
Each class brings opportunities to investigate, play, and learn together. Activities will take place indoors or outdoors depending on the weather, so please dress for outdoor exploration and a little messy fun! That means warm jackets, boots, hats, mittens, and snowpants as needed.
Don’t forget to pack a snack and water bottle, and choose “Lachat Town Farm - Bus 6” in dismissal manager each week if your child will be taking the bus from HES!
